I just saw this docu: “Eerlijk zullen we alles delen…” (We shall share everything honestly…) on Dutch television. I hightly recommend to watch it. Currently I’m working on my interactive docu “ikbenAlles” and it seems my project falls right into place now with the idea that our economy is breaking down. Evolution will take a leap now, hang on! Wiehooo…

I found stylist Bonne van Reijn to do collab on my new music video project. I stumbled upon his Rain Forrest project > “aura photography with a sauce of fashion”. Click image for a making-of. A new generation of artists are heading your way!

Yesterday I saw an interview with documentary maker Mads Brügger in context of the IDFA festival in Amsterdam. First off, this TV program was one of the best I’ve seen in a while. They ended the conversation with a scene from “Songs from the second floor - by Roy Andersson” which gives a surreal and apocalyptic view on current worldly economic state: a young generation is being overruled by old men…

Quayola is a multi-talented digital artist, with a fascination for music visualization and realism in abstract animation. The piece Abstract Birds is a sound-reactive installation with live orchestra (music by Kourliandski). Click on the image / link.

Rediscovering Kepler (17th C) scientist, philosopher and esoteric describing the mathematical relations between our planets, viewed from the sun, corresponding to musical harmonies; “Harmonices Mundi”. It’s a wonderful music theory, which is not at all accurate mathematically as we know now. Structure of our universe always reveils itself from a certain “emotional” perspective… ;)

This is a new book by my friends from the Sandberg: Koert Mensevoort & Hendrik Jan Grievink. They give a refreshing view on our Nature, technology and the noosphere… And their Power Show in the Amsterdam Schouwburg was a blast with tons of humor during the Museum Night last Saturday. Check them out.

This is a collage sketch I made for the coming music-video production: “Touch & Go” in collaboration with music band BASTIAN - Bas Bron & DOP/photographer Tim Georgeson. We’ll also capture how we made the video and the way the different disciplines are coming together.

The Russian documentary “Water, the Great Mystery” (click image full length movie) gives a rather unorthodox view on water, our body and mind. Scientists explain how water is the medium of (our) consciousness; like an alphabet that can carry memory and other (biological) information… A kitschy documentary, but still showing some fantastic creative ideas on Water.

Once and a while I come across these colorful Hindu lithographs; portraying avatar like beings surrounded by a myriad of symbols, a bombardment of visual ecstasy. Ancient Indian texts and poetry come across as likewise overwhelming, describing the forces of nature and psychological ecosystems of the human mind (and beyond) - descriptions I think are still very contemporary. My Dutch atheistic culture in general works in opposite ways: producing art that is more nuanced and careful in expression.

I had a wonderful meeting with Claron McFaden, American soprano singer living in Amsterdam. She’s willing to play the female part of a new film-script I wrote together with choreographers: Andre Gingras & Lukas Timulak; called Symmetry. More soon…

“Our eye is slow. When we watch television, we look in fact at successively lighting dots. However, we experience the produced image as one smooth image. This cubical mirror, which has reflecting surfaces on all four sides, also uses the persistence of our eye. It was used to examine small vibrating flames. Such a ‘manometric flame’ can be set into vibration by various acoustic devices.” an instrument build by Rudolph Koenig in 1870. How can we out-smarten our senses?

Lukas Timulak linked me to this multi-talented artist: Hiroaki Umeda. Talking about particle-collision, technology and the spiritual… It triggers my Eastern hemisphere in the brain - can’t wait to meet my Japanese friends soon.
